Dedicated Servers are computers that are leased by hosting company which are dedicated to customers websites. These servers have their own characteristics for each type of hosting, they are designed to stay connected 24 hours in order to provide data at all times.

They serve mostly to provide space and hosting so that customers can access the files and show these files to end users.

There are several types of servers classified as dedicated servers and NOT DEDICATED, some of them are: Fax Server, File Server, Web Server, Email Server, Print Server, Database Server, DNS Server, Proxy Server, FTP Server, Webmail Server, server virtualization and servers for games.

Currently there are two types of dedicated servers, managed and unmanaged. An unmanaged dedicated server is the server type in which the customer will need to completely manage the server, performing tasks for software updates, application patches, system restore, manage security and software installation where as web hosting company is responsible for providing connectivity and repair of any hardware problems. The choice of an unmanaged dedicated server is recommended for users with more experience in managing machines.

Managed dedicated servers are manages and maintained by the web hosting company. The hosting provider takes the responsibility to maintain the updated software, apply patches, accounts for the smooth operation and security of hardware, monitor the external Internet network connectivity. One option recommended for users without experience in server management, or lack of time for more complex task.

The advantage of recruiting UK Dedicated Servers is that, you get greater performance because it is just a machine dedicated to hosting services, it has everything to make your site have a connection speed broadband internet access, and security updates when necessary.
