The New Open Computer – powerful Mac Clone PC

MacMac OS X operating system, Psystar has decided to launch a new Open Computer model.

The company says that its new open (3) is going to be the smaller, faster and sexier. In addition, the device will feature Intel’s E7400 Core2Duo processor that runs at 2.8GHz.

Open (3) is 50% faster and 47% smaller than its predecessor. Currently the new computer’s standard configuration features a 500GB SATA storage, and GeForce 8400GS video card with 256MB of dedicated video memory.

Among the optional equipment, one may choose an 802.11n wireless adapter, Firewire Card, and an all in one card reader. The latter is able to read the popular removable media, including SD cards, Compact Flash, and Sony’s memory Stick Formats.

Just like the previous version, the new Open (3) will include mac OS X and its price will start at 9 in the United States.

The company also upgraded its OpenPro computer’s standard configuration and now it has a 1TB SATA hard drive, 8GB of system memory and dual-DVI GeForce 9500 video card featuring 512MB dedicated video memory.

How to make thumbnails with Picasa

Run Picasa (download from Google) Size it, then [Alt] [Prs Sc]

Copy the entire Picasa screenshot into Paint then grab the one you want…

Do a File/New in Paint, then paste in your thumbnail

Now save that one image as a JPG and you have your thumbnail

Picasa is a program you can download from Google — no cost. If you store images on your hard drive, it’s an awesome tool even if you don’t want to make thumbnails.
